Left to Right Front Row: Tootypup and Ann The Planning Stage Garden Keeper Ann told the Garden Keepers one day back in late November early December 2007 That her and her husband Ken were coming to Australia in April 2008 For their 50th Wedding Anniversary on a cruise ship I asked Ann where exactly they were headed too Ann said they were having a day at Hobart, a day at Melbourne and then heading to Sydney And staying there for 3 days I told Ann that I lived only a few hours away and would like to come and visit with them Emails started flying backwards and forwards to each other, We made the date to met on the 15th April 2008 Ann told me what Hotel they were staying at and Amanda and I said we would go and met her and Ken. Little did Ann know but as soon as I knew the dates they would be in Sydney I emailed all the Australian GOF members letting them know that Ann was coming to Sydney and asked if anyone would like to come and meet Ann. I had emails from Tootypup, Cattic and Margaret C saying they would love to join in and would come for a few days So now the planning really began, not leaving anything to the last minute I started ringing around places in Sydney for accommodation, but it was so expensive After talking it over with my husband Grahame and making local phone calls for accommodation, We actually found it was cheaper to stay in my home town and travel to Sydney on the day of the meeting. So the plans were for Cattic (Cheryl) her husband Albert to fly into Sydney from Tasmania on the 13th April and for Tootypup (Susan) to also fly in from Melbourne on the same day. Margaret C was to fly into Newcastle airport on the 14th April. All accommodation, transport are all booked by now, with confirmation of flight times and airlines. Christina and Sandee would meet us in Sydney on the day of the get together. Margaret C had to pull out of the trip as at the time of the meeting it was school holidays Here is Australia and Margaret looks after her grandchildren and her mother took ill also, Sandee pulled out also because she was still recovering from an operation she had the week before.
